Support Your Local Chapter During Red Cross Month
Glens Falls, New York (February 15, 2010):Five Guys Burgers and Fries want to treat you to something special while supporting the American Red Cross Adirondack Saratoga Chapter.On March 3, 2010, Five Guys Burgers and Fries will donate 20% of their evening sales to the American Red Cross Adirondack Saratoga Chapter.Purchases must be made between 5:00pm and 8:00pm at either their Clifton Park, Saratoga or Queensbury restaurant locations and accompanied by “Dine to Donate” coupon.“Dine to Donate” coupons can be downloaded on the chapter’s website at www.redcrossadirondacksaratoga.org - photocopies are also accepted. Online orders are excluded.
“We are very appreciative of the support of Five Guys Burgers and Fries.Support of the American Red Cross can be felt around the world, around the nation and around the corner.” said Eileen Reardon, Executive Director of the American Red Cross Adirondack Saratoga Chapter.The Adirondack Saratoga Chapter has experienced an increase of single family house fires and local disaster response in recent months.Since December 1, 2009, the chapter has responded to 20 fires throughout its five-county jurisdiction, assisting over 50 people - a 50% increase over this same time frame in previous years.“This support means more victims of disasters can be assisted, more youth can receive disaster preparedness education, more lives can be impacted.” concluded Reardon.

About the American Red Cross Adirondack Saratoga Chapter
The American Red Cross Adirondack Saratoga Chapter is dedicated to saving lives and helping people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.Led by a volunteer Board of Directors with 250 other volunteers and 90 paid employees, the local Red Cross is supported by community donations and provides services to Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Hamilton and southern Essex Counties.Last year the Red Cross ran 650 aquatic courses and 1048 first aid and CPR courses, collected over 19,000 units of whole blood, helped deliver 303 emergency messages for members of our armed forces, and assisted more than 1,250 neighbors who were affected by local disasters.
